State leaders in Indiana are pushing employers to offer better salaries and benefits as a method of keeping child care workers in the country as they face a shortage of job. The decision comes after the closure of a care facility in Bronzeville which was struggling to retain employees.



Illinois Department of Labor also launched an online tool designed to inform small-scale businesses about labor laws. Employers can search by keyword or browse categories on the site, and connect to appropriate state agencies and other resources.
