Saab Key Programming

Saab cars manufactured since 1994 feature an immobilizer mechanism based on coded keys. To add an additional key, you need a new transponder and special programming. This is usually handled by the dealer using a Tech2 diagnostic tool.

Transponder key

The transponder key is a piece of hardware equipped with an electronic chip. It sends a signal to car when it is inserted into ignition.
