It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through a clean.

It is very fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one sweep. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull out debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as good. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and performs well however this is something that you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it comes with some distinctive features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually start cleaning tasks or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognising objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck if it gets caught in an obstacle like a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert in its app.

Another possible issue is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units.
