French Door Refrigerator With Ice Maker Review

Combining form and function, French-door refrigerators come with stylish double doors that open to an expansive fridge on the top and a freezer drawer below. Special features such as through-the-door dispensers, high-end ice machines and adjustable flex drawers make them stand out from the rest.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range. It has Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices can let you control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and has numerous options for customization. It will also send notifications when the door is left unlocked as well as when the fridge or freezer must be defrosted and when the filter has to be changed.

The fridge was rated the best refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for a few reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and never changing more than a fraction of one degree. This is crucial to preventing freezer burn. The refrigerator section of the refrigerator also did well. It reached the temperature it was set within an hour, and maintained that temperature throughout our testing.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S is a top counter-depth refrigerator that packs a lot of storage into a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge is built with a standard French door layout, with two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to give taller items more headroom. There's also a full-width deli drawer and an internal water dispenser.

One of the great features of this refrigerator is that its ice maker is in the freezer, which makes it simple to move frozen ice to the fridge to use as required. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, for instance, sliding drawers that help better organize the placement of your items. It also has a large container for storing frozen food, and a separate container for ice.

It would have been more effective if these had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those who want to combine the aesthetics of a french Door fridge cheap-door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also less expensive than the top counter-depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which helps make it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a great choice if you want a French-door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a basic fridge which may not be as appealing as its rivals, but it still has enough features to make it a good choice. Its main feature is the temperature adjustable drawer, which helps keep foods like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a large ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

Another great feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. During my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly consistent across all areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator did not differ much from 38 degrees. This is a pretty good performance however it doesn't make it into the top ten in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to a smart thermometer to get more precise measurements of your fridge's internal temperature.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge resistant" finish. It wards off streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tried.
