A Small Double Buggy That's Easy to Push One-Handed and Carry Up and Down Stairs

This is the double stroller for you if you want a lightweight one-hand stroller that is easy to push. It's also easy to transport up and down the stairs.

It comes with two fixed seats and can be configured with the possibility of up to 30 seating configurations (including three!). Both seats have UPF 50+ canopies and peekaboo windows.

Size

The Joovy Kooper X2 is a side-by-side double stroller which can accommodate two children of up to 50 lbs each. Its seats are larger sized than those of other lightweight double strollers and the canopy comes with large SPF 50 sunshades that have windows that peek out. Other features that are important include cup holders with one parent and a large, self-standing bin that can hold up to 25 pounds; swing-away bar for children to get out and in their seats; and the front wheels that swivel lock to make it easier to maneuver on difficult terrain. Weight

The weight of a double buggy is among the most important factors that determine its ease to push. A light buggy is easier to lift and transport, but may not have enough suspension to handle bumps and uneven terrain.

The majority of double buggies have the capacity to hold a maximum weight for each seat and some have total frame weight limits, so it's important to know the specifics of each model prior to you purchase. Certain double buggies can be folded with seats removed, making them lighter and more compact. This is useful if you are limited on storage space.

Tri-fold doubles are generally the lightest models, as they only require a single hand to lift the top and bottom sections. They're also a bit smaller than side-byside buggies, which makes them an ideal choice to fit through doorways. The iCandy Geo 3 tri-fold double is among the lightest on the market. It is able to comfortably accommodate twins or a toddler and baby.

Tandem buggies are initially a single pushchair and have adapters to accommodate an additional seat, carrycot or car seat they are a great option for growing families. Folding

The Joovy Kooper X2 for example includes straps that can be pulled up on the seats and then the whole thing folds down. Even our oldest testers could do the tri-fold with only one hand.

The lightweight Delta Children LX side by side is another great choice for double buggie. Its light weight is a plus however, it also has some great features such as large pop-out canopies that have SPF 50 and peekaboo windows; swing-away bars that aid little ones get in and out of the seats and reclined seating and leg rests for smaller children.

Manoeuvrability

When selecting a compact double stroll, it's important to consider its maneuverability. This includes the ease for both children to ride in the buggy. Certain pushchairs double are more efficient than others at this and include the iCandy's "cinema seat" (where the back is elevated).

Narrow tandem buggies can be excellent at this and so can side-by-side designs. These buggies may be a bit larger and may be difficult to navigate through doorways.
