What is a bedside crib?

The Tutti Bambini COZee Air crib has a fabric that can be removed and a wipe-clean lining. This makes it easier to clean than some bedside cribs which can create messy to clean. It also has a top bar which can be easily lowered to accommodate nighttime feedings without the need to juggle zips.

Anna found that the CoZee was a safe and comfy place to sleep for her baby. She liked that it didn't move like other models so she wasn't woken up in the night trying to comfort her child during feedings. She also loved that the side of the chair was lowered so that she didn't have to reach over her partner in order to carry the child out for nighttime feedings.

The Maxi-Cosi lora

The Iora is a bassinet for infants designed to help parents feel closer to their baby as they sleep. It adjusts up and down and can be moved through three slide positions to fit next to the bed of the parent, or in the corner of the room, so that the baby is always close to the parent's side. The mesh siding allows air to flow through, and allows you to see your baby quickly. You can also store extra pajamas or supplies in the large storage basket beneath.

The Iora is a smaller bedside crib that folds flat. It also comes with a travel case to allow it to be carried anywhere. Our mom testers were able to move it from room to room, and believed that it was a suitable size for a 4-in-1 bedside crib cot that was not too big or too small. They also appreciated the large bedside crib storage basket, which is ideal for stowing spare bedding or nappies.

This is a great option for parents who wish to sleep in a co-sleeping bed but don't want to share their bed. Also, if one of the partners has mobility issues, such as back pain or arthritis. Our mum testers were thrilled to be able to easily access their child in the Iora and that it came with an option to have a reflux incline which helped to reduce gas.

Our moms are thrilled that the mattress adheres to NICE guidelines. These are to place the infant in the Moses basket or crib on its own, without blankets, toys and pillows. The mattress is also sturdy and comfortable for babies, and sheets are easily available. It isn't as light as the other cribs that are smaller however and if you're looking for something lighter and easier to move around, consider one of the other options on our list.
