This is the model to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options and makes it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last for up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It is very efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one motion. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger debris like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and performs well, but this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

This information can be used to clean intelligently and effectively. This ensures a thorough and consistent clean, while also being relatively quick.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our test, but it also has distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base comes with several control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot vacuums best or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are concerned about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognising objects.

This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it gets caught in an obstacle, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not come with a "stuck" status alert on its app.

Another issue that could be a problem is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for a market dominated by clunky boxes.
