WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear typically has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and accessories. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item upgrader kit owners in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will show a preview of the item at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

It is best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
