WoW Upgrades - The item upgrading Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random additional substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the Item Level Upgrade is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however they'll always be cheaper than purchasing new gear. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Upgrades are useful items that are used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other items. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor using an The button will show the item's next upgrade level, when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item and the current item level. For example weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities, or by completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons that have a high difficulty for endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it brings some modifications to the upgrade process. For example, once an item level upgrade reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to get their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests have one use and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to benefit from the account-wide discount if all of the slots are filled with top-quality gear.
