Best friends Jae and Cherish, both 30, signed up to the show to 'do something fun' and 'have a new adventure'

First up hoping to snag the £250,000 prize are best friend duo Jae and Cherish from South London.

They are a creative pairing as Jae, 30, is a singer-songwriter, meanwhile Cherish, also 30, is an artist.

Jae revealed that they signed up to the gameshow to 'do something fun' and write their own history, adding that they 'wanted to explore and have a new adventure'.

Cherish said: 'The opportunity that presented itself seemed like a very interesting one at the time and it was throughout the whole process. 

'I think it was also an opportunity for us to travel as best friends and compete for a life-changing amount of money in the Caribbean.'

If they won the coveted cash prize, the besties said they would: 'Invest in ourselves, our families and into our dreams. 

'We'd also travel and do things for ourselves and our families that we haven't been able to do for the last 30 years.'

CLAIRE AND DANIEL



Both from Gloucestershire, Claire, 43, is a commercial director, and her husband Daniel, 43, is a barrister

The second pairing putting their skills to the test in the Caribbean are married couple, Claire and Daniel.

Swapping the rainy UK skies for the hot sun of the Caribbean, Claire said: 'We always embrace adventure and wanted to do something together. 

'The opportunity to do something outside of your comfort zone is always a good thing.'

Meanwhile, Daniel added: 'The weather was also a big factor and the opportunity for us to share an experience enticed us as parents because we don't often get to spend time together just the two of us.'

If they won, the parents would use the cash to pay off their mortgage, as well as make a donation to Birmingham Children's Hospital.

They would treat also themselves to a nice holiday with their children to 'compensate for leaving them for a few weeks.' 

GARY AND LESLEY



Gary, 60, convinced his partner Lesley, 55, to sign up to the show with him, as the pair join the other nine couples battling it out for the cash prize

Partners Gary and Lesley from Suffolk are also hoping to win the £250,000 prize so they can retire early.

Gary, 60, saw the programme advertised online and convinced Lesley, 55, to sign up with him.

He explained: 'Having been off work I was getting cabin fever and wanted to do something different.

'We're getting older so want to fit in as many experiences as possible and this just happened to be something that interested us.'

Lesley joked that she 'just went along with it' and they would also use some of the cash to help their son get on the property ladder, if they managed to beat the other nine couples and prove victorious. 

JEN AND SUSAN



Jen, 44, and Susan, 39, are a best friend duo from Lanarkshire in Scotland who signed up to the show thinking they would be 'amazing' at it

The second pair of best friends to join the lineup are Jen and Susan from Lanarkshire in Scotland.

Jen, 44, is an executive assistant, and Susan, 39, is an investigator, which may prove useful in the Traitors-style programme.

When asked why she signed up for the gameshow, Susan joked that Jen 'made her do it'.

Jen confirmed: 'When I came across the casting advert, I remember thinking, this show resembled White Lotus meets Glass Onion meets The Traitors and I thought Susan and I would be amazing at this!

'Coupled with the opportunity to get away with my best friend to sneak about at a luxury resort and steal money from people - We're IN!'

When it comes to what the pair would spend the £250,000 on, Susan revealed she would love to treat herself to some 'expensive shoes' but also 'be sensible' and use it towards her mortgage.

Jen wants to be 'mortage-free before 50 as well as having the opportunity to take her kids to Disney World in Florida.

SCOTT AND TOMMY



Best friend duo Scott and Tommy, both 19 and from North London, say they 'jumped at the chance' to appear on the show

Best friends Scott and Tommy are the youngest pairing to appear on The Fortune Hotel, hoping to put their brains together and figure out who the betrayers are.

Both 19-years-old and from North London, Scott is a bartender and Tommy is a hairstylist apprentice.

The pair admitted they 'jumped at the chance' to stay in a five star resort and it was 'impossible to say no' to the holiday.

'Two best friends bluffing our way to get 250K whilst being in the sun was a no-brainer,' joked Tommy.

The bartender said he would pay off his parents' mortage if they came out on top and invest the money so he could live 'as comfortably as possible'.

'I'd think about it wisely but would definitely want to invest it,' added Scott.

ABBIE AND TRACEY



Abbie, 18, and her mother Tracey, 51, from Cardiff, are also hoping to smash the challenges and ultimately take home the prize

Abbie and Tracey from Cardiff are the only mother-daughter pairing on the show, hoping to smash the challenges and ultimately take home the prize.

Tracey, 51, is a skincare consultant, as is Abbie, 18, who is also in the same profession, alongside studying.

As a huge fan of Tom Jones, Tracey says she would spend the cash prize on a VIP ticket to see the singer live, if they managed to beat all the competition.

She also wants to cover her children's university fees and 'spoil' all of her family and friends with presents.

Meanwhile, Abbie, who is the youngest contestant on the show, would use the £250,000 for travelling, as well as putting some money away for a mortgage. 

CHLOE AND LOUIE



Chloe, 38, and Louie, 22, from Bolton, are both business partners and besties

Mixing work with pleasure, Chloe and Louie are both besties and business partners.

Chloe, 38, is an aesthetics practitioner and educator, and her colleague Louie, 22 is a skincare specialist.

Both from Bolton, the pair 'loved the chance to get dressed up every night for filming,' and if they won the cash they would 'absolutely blow it on having a fabulous time'.

Chloe said: 'Louie asked me if I'd be up for it and I thought free holiday with my bestie and business partner, why not.'

She revealed she would also put some of the money towards holidays, jewellery, bags, and her daughter.

Louie chimed in with: 'I was interested in the experience and the chance to win such a huge amount of money.' 

SAMM AND AYSHA



Married couple and content creator duo Sam and Aysha, both 30, say that winning the money would be 'life-changing' for them

The duo are both content creators, with Samm also being a construction worker alongside this.

Aysha gushed: 'I've never experienced something so adventurous before, I felt very lucky and blessed to be given the chance.'

Samm said: We've never travelled together so it was almost like a honeymoon for us without the relaxation and chill.'

The couple admit that winning the £250,000 prize would be 'life-changing' for them to be able to help their parents e marketing and social media children.

'I'd invest it into doing business back home in Kenya which is where Aysha and I are from,' Samm added.

The second parent and child duo to join the cast are Jo-Anne and Will, who are a mother and son from Sheffield.

20-year-old Will is a digital e marketing solutions executive and events organiser, and Jo-Anne, 55, is a technical instructor and mental health worker.

When asked why they chose to visit the Fortune Hotel, Will said: 'The idea of the-prize money sounded very appealing. It's also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you don't get to do with your mum every day.'

Jo-Anne joked: 'I didn't have much choice, I was pegging the washing out and Will told me about the opportunity, the next thing I know I was on a plane to the Caribbean.'

If they were to win, Jo-Anne would pay off her mortgage and buy the medical team that helped her with her cancer treatment some equipment. 

She said: 'I had cancer and relied on the use of a lymphatic drainage machine so I'd love to buy my NHS team a machine for them to use on other patients. 

'It helped me so much so if I can help others with lymphoedema that would be amazing.'

Will chimed in with: 'I'd want to go travelling and I'd also invest in myself be it through education as well as trying to get on the property ladder. I wouldn't mind a nice Rolex watch either.'

ADAM AND MICHAEL



Adam, 37, is a bricklayer, and Mike, 35, is a landscaper - the best friends are also both parents and would spend the cash on their little ones

Completing the cast as the tenth couple to join the show are Adam and Michael, who are best friends from Bognor Regis.

Mike said: 'The first thing I'd do would be to take my daughter to Disney and spoil her with whatever she wanted. We'd also like to put the money together and buy some property.'

Adam agreed: 'I'd want to go on an amazing family holiday with my girlfriend and my little boy. I'd then want to book another holiday where I could relax, unwind and work out what else to do with the money.'

The bestie duo 'couldn't resist a free holiday in the Caribbean' and also getting the chance to meet new people and have some fun.
