World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to increase an Best item upgrader's gear score up to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd for their unique stats (like an ideally broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while others like weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats like damage to attack, crit chance as well as PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally there are many weapons with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. In some instances, this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage a weapon upgrades by itself.

The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For instance the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it requires a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. This is usually a good thing, but it can also have negative effects. For items that are only used in a specific build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs, for instance), upgrading them may make them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely fortunate roll.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. For instance, if you have chests or helms this will increase its defense base while gloves and belts will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has a reroll option for its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it may reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain when upgrading along with the values of these stats. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will be hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button in the item upgrader kit menu with the circling arrows. The item upgrader will be rerolled and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make a huge difference to your survivability. Certain sets provide massive increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which can make it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the greater health you will get from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and to unlock each one you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you'll need at anywhere between three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For instance the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep up with a good-sized group of enemies in most cold climates, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to withstand an entire raid with a few friends.

It isn't possible to upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or the power of spells. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear at the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

You can also get some benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be beneficial to have a few upgrades of the chest armor and helmets to permit you to sneak past some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, provide an immediate effect. There are five kinds of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, increasing their level of effect. Additionally the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained through crafting them on a craft table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion used and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI where you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.

Once a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade until you take it out again or break the bottle in which it is kept. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name.

There were some changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. For example splash potions now have the duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item upgrader kit). The table for potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. The same applies to the use of a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will drain the potion and refill the bottle.

Lastly, there are now lingering potions, which are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can also be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effect. The table of potions is organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly important such as a tiny thimble. In some cultures a trinket is used to express affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. As with other upgrades to items trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone and in some cases in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with gold, tokens or fragments of rare trinkets.

Upgrades to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying a new one. You can upgrade a trinket with just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same level of base as the old trinket but will also have an additional 1% bonus upgrade.

Once the old Trinkets are no longer useful, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first, followed by their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they won't be replacing in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). When choosing which items to upgrade players should consider the class's preferred stats. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should be focusing on upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value, and the new trinket will have an additional 1% upgrade bonus. Re-upgrading will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it can be salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
