Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item are enhanced by upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment provides a linear increase in a given stat.

Players can recycle six items at a time to gauge the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling items increases depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

An item upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the power of your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways such as using upgrade components or by increasing an item's rarity or mark level. In addition to this, many items can be reforged to boost their stats even more.

There are items that can be upgraded throughout the game. They are available throughout all over the world, as well as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. Upgrade components are the primary way to upgrade equipment. These are items that can be inserted into equipment. Most equipment comes with upgrade slots, and many require a certain upgrade level. Some upgrade components give specific bonuses while others give general bonuses.

Choose the item upgrader mod from your inventory, and then open the Upgrade window. This will display a preview on the right side of the screen that shows what the expected stats are after the upgrade, as well as any materials or components required. If you don't possess enough of either the upgrade button will be marked as Blocked.

The upper-right side of the screen shows the amount of upgrade components needed for an item. The cost of an upgrade increases depending on the upgrade level and rarity, but it can be reduced by a variety of methods, including purchasing upgrades at a merchant or trading them to other players.

Nearly all weapons can be upgraded using an upgrade to a prefix, such as an insignia, or a rune, and a lot of them are upgraded by a suffix upgrade. These upgrades alter the name of the item to add an adjective, for example "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor.' The exceptions are the non-inscribable wands, the foci and shields from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, that cannot be upgraded using any kinds of mods at all.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to convey information via visuals. They animate to capture the attention of the viewers and trigger interest in the brain. The glyphs' animation mimics the body language, making them more effective in transmitting an inter-linguistic message. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by a certain range. This is shown on the item, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This isn't the exact amount at the glyph can increase the stat, but rather the maximum value by which it is able to do so. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the quality and tier of the item you're creating it for.

The majority of upgrade components that are slotted into items cannot be repaired or replaced without removing the gear in question, except for legendary equipment and upgrades. However, if you have a rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your gear, you can move it to a different piece equipment by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu on the Glyphs panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you want to remove a glyph from a piece of you must salvage it using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. This will destroy the item within which it is placed but you will be able to salvage the upgraded item using the glyph and its fragments, so this should not be considered a loss.

Adding a glyph to an item can cause it to become unstable and the shards that are left of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you remove the item. You can also place an inscription to your equipment to give it a bonus. Deferred Damage, for example, can store damage and then be dealt slowly to the wearer rather than all at once. This is helpful for players who suffer many hits from their enemies but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens allow players to alter the affixes on their weapons and equipment and can be found in various ways, including in mistery boxes, as an uncommon drop from skulled creatures, or by killing bosses. Each reroll token grants players a new random affix, which is typically superior to the original. Reroll tokens are also a good way to reroll weapon stats that can be upgraded to increase damage or additional perks.

Items that have been rerolled will not appear in the item upgrade menu, however, they are still eligible to receive upgrades. When you press the "upgrade button" you can recycle these recycled items. This will alter the appearance of the window for the item and let up to six items be selected for recycling. The level gauge is increased by recycling an item. This amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its level, therefore items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.

Players can also make use of Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling Weapon Traits to upgrade units. Rerolls roll the percentage chance of a particular weapon trait. If it is higher, the weapon is upgraded, and if it is lower, it remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to 3 times.

Rerolling is a fantastic way to upgrade an item. However, players must be aware that the total ilvl is reduced by the number that it took to reroll it to the final ilvl. This effect of lowering is most effective on Diadems and rings that don't have other options for raising ilvls.

Players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It would be fairer to allow players to pay for it using money or food items which allows players to make changes to their builds without spending too much time. The developers aren't planning to introduce paid rerolls at this stage in the game's development. Instead, they plan to include an option to change the race in the near future.

Leveling

There are several ways to upgrade an item. The first way to level up an item upgrade is to increase the upgrade amount. This increases the value of an upgrade for any stat. The second is to increase the upgrade effect, which increases the healing or damage of a given stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. The upgraded Best item upgrade will keep its iLevel, but will have the upgraded effects of the upgraded item.

When upgrading your items it is essential to remember that upgrades are not guaranteed. In most cases a better roll is based on the glyphs. However there are occasions when a greater or special roll could occur. In addition the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the item type, so when you upgrade a unique or rare item to an exceptional item type you could achieve a higher iLevel.

Upgrading items can be costly, particularly when you're upgrading a piece of gear from the normal to legendary track. The cost of upgrading an item upgrader mod will depend on the base iLevel and the number of upgrade levels. Certain upgrade tracks require crests in order to get to the next level.

If you're lucky, your upgraded item will reach the highest level on its upgrade track and unlock an additional benefit. This will increase the item's upgrade value. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level. In general the effect of upgrading is increased by a number of +3.

Depending on the item's base level and its upgrade path, the iLevel of the upgraded item will also change. For example an item upgraded from being a rare or unique item to an outstanding one can be expected to gain the Enhanced Defence of the new base item.
