Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one time and without the need to switch devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using the dock that is specifically designed for them.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you can, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only drawback is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuums that mop vacuum and mop is the newest version. It's not like the model from last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to remove smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.

The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates two cameras that can recognize objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its direction automatically and clean around them, without missing a step.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it has only three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to return the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.

The only drawback I could find with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to remove the mount to wash manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot vacuums best crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its intelligent design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry messes. It comes with a mop that is excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for pads. The X40 is also very quiet while in use with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 also comes with a side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean curved furniture like table and chair legs. It can also get under low-profile furnishings which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush also automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice addition that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.

Contrary to other robots which solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or individually. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and understand, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. They can also adjust suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it's done.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect when the mop pad is filled and notify you when it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum best that's among the most expensive on the market and comes with a lot of additional features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mop mops are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature since it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a system we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a great method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.

There's a wealth of settings available that include the ability to schedule cleaning times and alter a variety of preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also comes with a number of functions that are not available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
