This Roomba is one of the best rated roomba vacuum rated vacuums on the market. It has the strongest AI obstacle-avoidance system of any vacuum we've ever tested. It also has a mopping mechanism with dual rubber brushes that are less likely to cause tangles than bristle brushes.

It utilizes random (or bump) navigation rather than vSLAM, which takes longer to clean but ensures that each room is adequately covered. It has a long battery lifespan and is effective on hardwood and carpet floors.

1. Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO has a sleek matte gray finish on its top that resembles fabric and helps reduce fingerprints. The smart mapping technology makes use of advanced sensors to create a map of your house, which helps it clean each rooms and avoid obstacles. The irobot vacuum App lets you alter your cleaning habits and get recommendations based on the seasons as well as your home and even your personal preferences. (For instance it could suggest that you use it more frequently during the season of allergies). The robot's high-efficiency filter traps 99 percent of allergens, including mold, dust mites hair of cats and dogs, and pollen. During testing during testing, the i3+ EVO cleaned our floors quickly and effectively. The i3+ EVO is a good option for homes with carpeting but falls short when it comes to removing crumbs and larger debris. It struggles to vacuum pet hair on carpeting and could not be the best roomba vacuum choice for those who wish to have their robot fully replace their traditional vacuum cleaner. It's also not as powerful obstacles-avoidance capabilities of the top Roombas like the J7+ or S9+, which makes it more likely to get into pet waste on floors and spread it out.

2. Roomba J7+

This is among the top robot vacuums designed for those who have the combination of hard flooring and carpet. Its standout feature is obstacle detection that smartly avoids things like furniture legs, and even pet debris. It also does a great job at cleaning hard floors and picking up long hairs that get stuck in the brush.

Like other robots unlike other robots, the Roomba J7+ is able to adjust its suction power. It can be done through the app, which has a map editor and scheduling feature that work well, along with the section of your favorites for the most frequent cleaning tasks. The j7+ is also very quiet, particularly in relation to higher-end flooring options. It is able to keep up with manual vacuuming.

As is customary the top models of iRobot's line tend to perform better in cleaning than the lower-end models. In our tests the j7+ was able to collect more dirt on both hard and carpeted surfaces than the 694 and also did better in crevices. The only issue was that it performed poorly in our long human hair pickup test which is a common problem with all robots.

The j7+ is equipped with a self emptying Clean Base that is able to automatically transfer dirt from the bin into the dirt bag once it docks. This helps reduce the need to be hands-on and is a real boon for those suffering from allergies. The j7+ is also compatible with iRobot Braava Jet M Series robot mop with its Imprint Link feature. It will automatically resume mopping once the vacuuming has been completed.

3. Roomba i7+

The i7+ is an interesting machine to observe. It follows a specific pattern similar to how a lawn care professional trims a field prior to a sporting event. It will occasionally return to the dock to empty its dust bin or recharge its batteries. Self-emptying features are an improvement over the way robot vacuums operate and can reduce the need for hands-on maintenance.

It has a strong suction, which enables it to easily eliminate pet hair and dirt. It can pick up the majority of debris even on carpets with a high pile in just one sweep. It is also able to identify areas that are prone to traffic and then spend more time there. This is especially helpful when you have children and pets that often bring in large debris from the outside.

Smart Mapping is another great feature. It allows the i7+ to understand the layout of your house and create a floor map that you can modify while it vacuums. It took four one-hour sessions to fully map my two-bedroom home however, once it had done it was able navigate the space in a rational manner and efficiently. You can further tweak the mapping using the app by creating virtual boundaries and assigning rooms names. You can set the i7+ to clean the space around the cat's litter tray every morning or to keep the sofa in the living room once everyone has gone home.

The i7+ is also equipped with a side brush and a tangle-free spinning squeegee and a tangle-free spinning squeegee, both of which are for picking up debris that would otherwise end up on the ground. It also comes with an battery that is equipped with Recharge and Resume Technology that allows it to take over where it left off in a previous cleaning session.

4. Roomba 694

The 694 is an excellent entry-level robot that is ideal for anyone looking to make their home more tidy but without the advanced automation features that higher-end models offer. It learns about your habits for cleaning to recommend schedules, it works with Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants, allowing you to begin a cleaning session with just one command and can be controlled using the iRobot app.

Dual multi-surface brushes remove dirt from carpet and hard floors and edges, while the edge-sweeping brush cleans edges and corners. The battery lasts for 90 minutes, and it docks back to the Home Base when it runs out.

A large Clean/Power button lies in the middle of the top panel with Home and Spot buttons to the left and right. A battery-level indicator glows orange while charging and green when the robot has enough power to run. The dustbin is inserted at the back and can be released when you press the button.

The Roomba 694 is excellent in navigating floors that are bare and sucking up large debris like cereal and rice. However, it struggles with finer particles like baking soda. It also tends to overflow its dirt compartment when it fills. It also doesn't work as well on low-pile carpet, but it still gets an excellent score compared to other robot vacuums at this price.

It is extremely effective in getting rid of pet hair. However, some strands may get caught around the side brush. Its inability to handle kitty litter is a source of concern, even though it still scored as high as the other robots in this class. It was better than our top choice (the Roborock S4 Max) by 19 points. The 694 is a bit more expensive than the RoboVac 30C, but it feels more robust and has less maintenance requirements and has lower costs for recurring expenses, is much faster, maneuvers over obstructions with less difficulty and performs better on bare floors and carpets with high pile. It has a larger bin and can be used without an internet connection.

5. Eufy 11s

The eufy 11s is one of the cheapest robot vacuums available and is a great choice if you're looking for an easy and reliable machine. It's able to clean dust, pet hair and other debris on both low-pile and hard floors. It also does a good job of moving around obstacles and furniture. Its slim profile allows it to be easily reached under low-clearance furniture like coffee tables, couches and other furniture. It is also among the quietest robot vacuums we have tried.

This is the simplest model we've seen. It isn't equipped with features that are available in higher-end models. It doesn't come with an app so you'll need to manually set the schedule with the remote control. It does not have an indicator for battery level or a dust bin alert. You'll need manually empty the trash bin when needed.

Despite its low price the model is extremely well-constructed and easy to maintain. It also has a long battery life and offers decent performance on flat floors and when maneuvering around obstacles. In our tests, it was able to overcome obstacles with low levels, such as electrical cords more easily than the Roomba 694 or Shark Ion robots, but it was unable to climb over carpets with high piles.

Although the eufy 11s is better than the ONSON GOOVI F007 we recommend going with the more expensive option if you can afford it. The iRobot Roomba 694 has a longer battery life, is more simple to maintain and incurs lower costs for recurring use. It's also better in cleaning floors with no dust, maneuvering around furniture and has a larger dustbin.
