Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions can be a great method to acquire weapons, gear and more. But they're also hard to do.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot lets you to carry pistols on a mission. Some people use it to help them attain certain goals, particularly those who want to achieve Suit Only. Others simply prefer to have the extra pistol as an extra weapon to close the gap. It's important to remember that in order to choose the pistols for this slot, click on the button for the appropriate category, like alternate slot 2 machine guns. Being able to have Major Expedition and Adept Rider in use makes it much easier to do. This combo adds a damage tick every 10 seconds from the concealed Weapon as long as it is positioned.

Slot for items that are smuggled

The smuggled item slot a good feature for allowing players to bring in tools and weapons, but it could benefit from a more streamlined option. It's currently designed to resemble an a gun, which makes it difficult to differentiate the weapon slot smuggled by smugglers from other slots for gear.

The smuggle slots can be used to store a wide assortment of items, from concussion devices to explosives for weapons to more subtle concussions. These items can be found in hidden places around the map. They can also be retrieved at any time. Smuggled items differ from Agency Pickups or Hidden Stashes which hide only small objects in scenery and objects.

Mission planning is a feature that is available in short-term missions that allow players to discover different starting locations, smuggled items and gear slots prior to their entry into the map. As players advance through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these options for planning expand. This lets players plan the ideal task for every challenge.

Gear Slot

The slots for gear will quickly fill up in the early stages of the game, which will result in the common message "Your Gear Slots Are Full". This message stops Max to select new equipment until the old items are taken away or space has been accumulated. Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials are the answer to this issue. They provide more inventory space to complete challenging missions. However, because many of these challenges are scattered across the globe and are easily missed, it can take some time to get the most inventory slots with free bonus rounds in the game.

Five Gear Scatter slots can be filled with up to five different types of gear. These must be selected in the Gear Selection menu before a Break-In can begin. Each gear item (except the Pistol) occupies one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like Grenades that are of the same type) only uses one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock various agency pickups on the map. These locations allow you to store items that do not fit in your slot for gear or weapon, and retrieve them later.

These pickups are useful in situations where your job requires you to pass through a frisk, or if you have a weapon on you that could cause suspicion. You can only hide one item in a pickup location.

This DLC also includes new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. Talk to the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Then, head to the stated mission marker and spot a group at the time of arrival.
