Albums

Toto's discography includes 13 studio albums and four live albums. There are also a few compilations. Toto has released original music as well as collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed The members of the band performed sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in the year 1976 in the wake of the collaboration.

Toto's third album, Turn Back, marked a departure from the more progressive sound of their previous efforts and was criticized for the absence of hit singles.
