It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It's efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one motion. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop rotates at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is simple to install and works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum solely to mop, you will need to pay attention to this.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops (head to sipl.by) in our review, but it has some distinctive features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its enormous dock that serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base also has a number of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning task or recall the robot or run the dock's auto vacuum and mop-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you manually free it. While it was not common however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert on its app.

Another potential downside is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that the mopping pad isn't washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
