The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but a quick glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station has an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank in a controlled manner by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum mop cleaner robot and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being able to operate for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its path and clean around the objects without a pause.

It's the most expensive model I've tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it has just three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-refilling.

The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot vacuum cleaner best touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40
