How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO

Upgrade is one of the most prized items in Pokemon GO. It lets trainers evolve Porygon into Porygon2 and gives them a chance to grow in their Pokedex.

This item is scarce, but can be found by spinning a Photo Disk at a Pokestop, or as a prize at special events. But what does this item actually do?

Components

Upgrade components are objects that can be put into trinkets, weapons, or gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or extra effect when the item level upgrade is utilized.
