Testing is a bit challenging as there are two different connector pins and they have different functions but the most effective method to test it is to measure resistance between the sensor and the ECU. When the sensor is functional, it should read around 1000 ohms. Check for signs of coolant or oil in the connector bay if there are problems with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at a high speed I noticed a significant drop in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or my injectors were not firing. In the morning, i removed the spark plugs, three were drenched with gazoline the fourth one was dry. I put tissue over each injector hole and when i turn the engine on without sparks, the three with gazoline jump right out. The 4th one remains shut. I tested the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55,30/55 and 48/55 I get zero ohm. I assume that the problem is in another location.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it is running fine with the G28 plugged in. However, the intermittent misfire problem still occurs at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for the coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature value of -49c even when i unplug it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars but the actual pressure is 0.
