The model is basically the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with an increased suction power of 8700Pa, and a few additional smart features. A few hundred dollars more than the S8 and this robot does a bang-up job of keeping my office tidy and is able to take on the corners of my tight apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to make an outline of your home, so it knows which areas to avoid. In addition, unlike other vacuums that can mop it also has detection of objects and obstructions that avoids items such as dog toys and bowls (but not poop).

Other great features include a self-emptying dustbin and a mop that is self-washing, adjustable to water temperature, and an extended side-reaching brush that is able to reach areas that other mops cannot reach. You can also set up cleaning schedules in the app and customize settings for every room in your home.

It features the same multi-room smart mapping feature as the S8 and can differentiate between carpets and laminate with high-pile rug. It can also skip mopping rooms that are not dirty if you're looking to reduce time. If you have a variety of flooring in your house and don't want to spend more money on a Roborock that has advanced mapping capabilities, this is a great choice.

7. Q5 Pro

This robot is a great choice to consider if you're looking for a versatile robot that can perform regular maintenance on a daily basis and touch-ups for messy water stains. It has a wide range of features, including the ability to empty the dustbin on its own and an additional water refill dock, as well as adjustable settings within the app. It is surprisingly quiet and is able to easily move around furniture legs or socks. It's unable to pick up knots in the rug, and its battery drains faster than other models we've tried.

The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a beast that comes with powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek design. It has a decent amount of suction power, and it is able to take a photo of every object it finds (i.e., chew toys, socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found in the app, so that they won't be taken up in subsequent cleanings. The photos are encrypted and not tied to you account.

It's great for vacuuming, but it's not so good at mopping. It uses disposable wipes that are clipped onto the bot's bottom and drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal that have reservoirs of water, and can automatically wash and attach their mophead.
