World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons to provide them with a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment as well as the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of an item upgrade will be available in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're not sure of how much they'll increase after a future reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a high possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break if it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate chance of failure, and a few upgrades that give a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, however, you may also want to consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each item level requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item. Once enough are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player improves an item upgrader mod it is replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This can be a downside, as the item can become more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This is useful for some items, but it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives buffs when the player is repeatedly in or leaves the water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely important in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of the non-upgraded version.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will result in the item returning to its original state and the player having to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item upgrader mod is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item could have five upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For instance they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will need to take every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
