French Door Refrigerator With Ice Maker Review

GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The name of the series suggests that the GE Profile series is aimed at people who want to incorporate cutting-edge technology into their kitchens. This refrigerator is packed with these, from an inside-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a sophisticated water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This fridge is expensive and I was expecting better.

Aside from that blip the fridge is a great choice. It has a large freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Furthermore, it can hold a decent amount of frozen foods as compared to similar models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. It also has a decent-sized icemaker that is tucked away in the left-hand door, although it isn't the largest I've seen.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you would expect from a refrigerator in this price range. This includes Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from any place across the globe. It also has many options for customization. It also sends you notifications when a door is left open, when the refrigerator or freezer is in need of defrosting, and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill, an option available in other GE fridges that allows you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to pour out at once. The fridge shows a countdown to show you how much water is left but it's not as effective as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth french door fridge with plumbed ice and water Door Refrigerator

Created to appear as a seamless element of your kitchen, Bosch's French-door refrigerator is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a veggie compartment that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher for longer, and two compressors to preserve food items. The ice maker we tested was one of the most efficient, and it produces the shape of a pyramid using only water. This refrigerator is ideal for a single household or a kitchenette with an attractive design and top of the best food preservation.

This refrigerator was rated as the best in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. The freezer temperatures remained steady at a level that was just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, never changing more than a fraction of an inch. This is essential to avoiding freezing burn. The fridge section of the refrigerator also did well. It reached the initial temperature set within a matter of hours, and remained at the temperature throughout our testing.

Bosch is known for its top-quality appliances. It's therefore no surprise that Bosch's counter depth fridge Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. The app lets you monitor and control your refrigerator remotely on your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is costly and has great features and functionality at a fair price.

While the fridge is an incredible piece of equipment however, it is important to understand the limitations. You may need to get creative with tall items because the fridge has a small shelf space. Also the shelves aren't completely sprillproof, and can easily be damaged or stained by sharp objects. It's easy to remove the trays in the fridge however, you must clean them regularly to prevent mold growth.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great option for those who need lots of space within a small frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge features a standard French-door layout with gallon-sized door bins at each door as well as two rows of shelves that capture spills and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded to provide more space for taller items. There's also a full-width drawer to store deli items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the nice features of this refrigerator is that the ice maker is inside the freezer, making it easy to move the ice to the refrigerator to be used when it is required. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, for instance, sliding drawers that can help you better organize the placement of items. It comes with a large bin for storing frozen food and a separate bin for ice.

Another awesome feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can manage the temperature, lighting and more of your fridge from your smartphone. It's a simple method to monitor your refrigerator and control it, especially when you're not at home.

However, while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. The refrigerator took longer to defrost food and chill it than the other fridges we test. This is likely due to its larger capacity.

The doors are another problem with this fridge. The sunken handles allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However, taller people still have a difficult time closing them without slamming them. It would have been much better if they came with a front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent option for those looking to blend the look of a french style fridge freezers door refrigerator with more efficient design. Its capacity is higher than average for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a good layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the most expensive counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, making it a great choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice when you're looking for a french door integrated fridge freezer door fridge that won't break the budget. It's a minimalist design that isn't as striking in appearance like some of the competitors, but it has enough features to make it a good choice. Its main feature is the adjustable temperature drawer that helps keep food items such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser as well as a good ice maker that operates quickly.

The "Chill Drawer", which sits over the two crisper bins, is another nice feature. This drawer allows you to direct a portion of the fridge's cooling power into this area so that you can keep food items which need extra attention. You can adjust this feature by using a slider that's located right on the outside of the drawer. You can also alter the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've found that the general settings work better than the specific ones.

In my tests, I found that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent across different areas of the refrigerator. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray much from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a solid performance, but it does not quite make it to the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be connected with a smart thermostat to get more accurate readings on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
