When the sensor is functional, it should read about 1000 ohms. Look for signs of coolant or oil in the connector bay if there are problems with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday accelerating full speed from highway paytoll, i experienced massive power loss like the engine is running out of gas or the injectors are not firing anymore. This morning i pull out the spark plugs, three were soaked with gazoline and the fourth one was dry. When i crank the engine without sparks i put tissue on the top of each hole in the injector and the 3 drenched with gazoline leap out, however the 4th stay shut. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30, and 48/55. I found 0ohm. I'm assuming the issue is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it is running fine with the G28 connected. However, the intermittent misfire problem still occurs at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even when unplugged, still shows a temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit is showing 2 bar while the actual pressure is 0.0 when i rev the engine.
I'm not sure what to do, as i believe that i've eliminated everything else. I'm afraid i may have missed something. If anyone has any ideas please share them! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 is activated by a signal sent from the RPM sensor. The GM-style sender is identical to the G4 and both function in the 80, 100 200, UrS and RS2 cars so you can easily find one at a wrecking yard or at a parts store.
