Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The most effective way to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through Item Upgrade upgrades. This lets you upgrade your gear without having rely on expensive trades or drops. This article will show you how to upgrade your gear.

Upgrades to equipment grant a bonus on the item's stats. The amount of bonus varies depending on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.

Components

Upgrade components can make your armour and weapons better. They can be found by destroying enemies, purchasing them from karma sellers or finding them in items-spheres. You can also salvage them from equipment containing the components or through salvage kits of high-end quality, such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed when you remove them from an item.

Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item however, they can also be used for other reasons. They can be used to increase the quality of an upgradeable item, or they can be used to enhance the experience gained by upgrading an existing weapon or piece of equipment. They can also be made to provide extra bonuses. A crafted glyph can increase the upgrade chances of its target while an upgrade boosts the attack or defense attributes of the weapon.

By selecting an upgrade template from the GUI will let you bind it to an item. It will display a list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. Sets
