This allows it to be shaped and molded to your specific frame while still offering enough support.

The cover of this duvalay mattress topper protector is made from 100-percent brushed microfiber poly. It has a baffle-box design that creates pockets to evenly distribute the fill. There are a variety of options to you if you're looking for a mattress topper. Some are designed to keep your body cool or regulate body temperature, while others offer some extra support or comfort. A mattress topper is an excellent way to increase the comfort of your bed without spending much money. A memory foam mattress topper is an excellent option for the majority of people. If, however, you prefer an innerspring mattress that is more springy then a hybrid mattress topper that combines nano-springs and latex could be a better choice.

For side and back sleepers A more firm topper will better align your spine and reduce pressure on the sensitive areas. The four-inch Tempur topper, made in the US offers 120 nights of trial and has impressed our test subject Julia. She was able to sleep better and was pleased by the extra comfort it offered her previous mattress. She did notice a strong off-gassing smell upon opening it, but that dissipated after a few days.

This firmer option from Parachute provides shredded memory foam that's not as dense but still is comfortable. Strategist contributor Lauren Levy says that it's "much cheaper than a down topper" and has the same marshmallow softness and baffle-box construction. She enjoyed sleeping on it, but would not recommend for front sleepers because her torso cratered in the topper.

A topper made from natural latex mattress topper wool fleece is soft and hypoallergenic. However it's not as comfortable as memory foam mattress toppers foam and can make you feel warm in the night. A cotton topper is also an option, since it's breathable and keeps your cool. Some topper fabrics are infused with copper, graphite, and gel infusions to help you stay cool.

The Nolah Beds Luxury Plush Memory Foam Topper offers a great option for side sleepers and back sleepers looking to soften a firm mattress. This topper also helps reduce pressure points and is a great choice for those with chronic pain. It's manufactured in the USA with non-toxic components and is a good choice for hot sleepers as well. It features a 2" layer of clever copper-infused foam which promotes breathability as well as providing support. It also has a cover made of organic cotton that helps control the moisture. Our test participant Paige found that this topper did a great job of stopping motion transfer and providing substantial softness, without sacrificing support. However, she did notice that the edges didn't completely hug her mattress. If edge support is important to you, this might not be the ideal mattress for you.
