WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. A random extra substat is also added to every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the item upgrades has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for those with higher variance due to the need to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current Item Level Upgrade level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Upgrades are items that are used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased from NPCs of item level upgrade upgraders for a variety of currencies.
