Slot Missions in Hogwarts

Slot missions are a great way to acquire weapons, gear and more. But they're also difficult to do.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a special slot that allows you to bring pistols in to an operation. Some players utilize this slot to help reach certain achievements and targets, particularly those who want to go for Suit Only. Others simply prefer to have the extra pistol as an additional gap. When using this slot, you need to keep in mind that you'll need to click the appropriate pistol category button, like the slot 2 alternative for machine guns, to select them. The presence of Major Expedition and Adept Rider active makes this much easier to do. This combo also adds damage from concealed Weapon every 10 seconds for as long as it is placed in.

Slot for items that are smuggled

The smuggled item slot a good feature for allowing players to bring weapons and tools, but it could be improved with a better opportunity. It's currently shaped as a pistol that makes it difficult to differentiate the smuggled item slot from other slots for gear.

The smuggle slot can house a large variety of items, ranging from small concussion devices to explosives that are weapon-grade. These items are hidden in locations around the map. They can be picked up at anytime. The items that are smuggled are different from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes that hide only small objects in the scenery, and objects directly.

Mission planning is a feature available in missions that are episodic. It allows players to unlock various starting locations, smuggled objects and gear slots prior to stepping into the map. As players progress through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these planning options increase. This lets players prepare the perfect mission for every challenge.

Gear Slot

In the beginning of the game, players will notice their gear slots quickly get full, resulting in the frequently-repeated "Your Gear Top Casino Slots are full" message, which blocks Max from acquiring new equipment until the old ones are cleared or more space is obtained. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which offer more inventory space in exchange for the completion of challenging missions. Since a lot of these challenges could be overlooked and are scattered around the globe, it could take a while to get the maximum number slots for inventory in the game.

Each player has up to five different kinds of gear in their five Gear high roller slots. They must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to a Break-In. Each gear item (except for the Pistol) is a part of one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as a grouping of Grenades) only takes up one Gear Slot.

Pickups by agencies

As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock different agency pickups on the map. These locations allow you to store items that do not fit in your concealed weapon or gear slots and retrieve them later.

These pickups are particularly useful if you have to pass through a frisk at the end of the course of your mission, or if you are carrying a weapon that could otherwise trigger suspicion. You can only keep one item at a time at an agency pickup location.

This DLC also adds new security and asset protection contracts to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Then, go to the mission marker and locate a mob upon arrival.
