Remove the sash, and mark its width and height so you can get replacement weather stripping that matches.

Then, remove the sash from its holder and place it on an even surface that allows you to reach all four sides. If your sash has a double-hung, you'll need to take off the weights and the ropes that go with them that should have fallen into the pocket of the jamb liner. After removing the sash using the utility knife, you can remove the weather stripping that was left by hand or with the putty blade.
