French Door Refrigerator With Ice Maker Review

French-door refrigerators are a perfect blend of functionality and form. They come with stylish double doors that show an enormous fridge on top and a freezer drawer below. These refrigerators stand out due to their special features, including door-to-door dispensers and more expensive Ice makers.

We asked Ladina Schopf - interior designer, architect, and the founder of LS Projects - for her suggestions on how to pick the right home. They weighed storage capacity, layout, energy efficiency, and other features.

GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The name of the series suggests that GE’s Profile series is targeted at people who want to integrate cutting-edge features in their kitchen. This fridge is loaded with features, from an in-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a clever water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator costs an extra amount, I'd like to see better.

Apart from that minor flaw however, this refrigerator is a fantastic choice. It boasts a spacious freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth french door fridge with non plumbed ice & water dispenser door refrigerators. Furthermore, it can hold a decent amount of frozen food compared to similar models.

The fridge comes with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is the standard for a fridge with a liebherr french door integrated fridge door at this price. It also has an adequate-sized icemaker in the left door, though it's not the largest I've seen.

You can adjust the shelving in each compartment to create a custom storage setup for what you want to keep. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting is an attractive accent. The in-door storage bins have a third shelf which can be folded down to store large items. The drawers have temperature controls so you can set them for Beverage, Meat or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, although I found their plastic textured coatings to be a little rough on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes all the features you would expect from a refrigerator in this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is compatible with iOS and Android devices and allows you to control your refrigerator from anywhere across the globe. It also has many options for customization. It also sends you notifications when the door is left unlocked and when the freezer or fridge needs to be defrosted, and when the filter requires a change.

It would be great if GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill the option that is available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allow users to select the number of cups they would like to dispense. It does have a countdown on the display of the fridge to show how much water you have left, but it's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a striking piece. It's designed to appear like it's a seamless component in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment that helps keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer, and two compressors for the best preservation of food. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces the shape of a pyramid using only water. This refrigerator is ideal for a single household or a kitchenette with a built-in appearance and top-of-the best food preservation.

The fridge was rated the best refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for a few reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and never moving by more than a fraction a degree--this is key to avoiding freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, achieving the desired initial set temperature within an hour and keeping the temperature constant over the course of our tests.

Bosch is known for its high-end appliances. It's therefore no surprise that Bosch counter depth refrigerator is one of them. Bosch counter depth fridge can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's Home Connect. This app lets you monitor and control your refrigerator remotely on your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is expensive, but it offers top-quality features and functions for the price.

It is crucial to be aware of the limitations of the fridge. You might need to be inventive with tall items since the fridge has a small shelf space. Additionally the shelves aren't completely sprillproof, and can easily be stained or damaged by sharp objects. The trays can be easily removed from the refrigerator. However, they should be cleaned regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French style fridge Freezers Uk Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S is a great counter-depth refrigerator that packs a lot of storage in an extremely compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge features an ordinary French door layout, with two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to make space for taller items. There's also a full-width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.

One of the nice things about this refrigerator is that the Ice maker is located in the freezer, which makes it easy to move the ice to the refrigerator to use as required. The freezer also features clever design features, such as sliding drawers that allow you to organize your belongings. It also has a huge bin that holds plenty of frozen food items and an additional storage bin for ice.

Another awesome feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It lets you manage the refrigerator's temperature as well as lighting using your smartphone. It's an easy way to monitor your refrigerator and control it, especially when away from home.

Although the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. This fridge took longer to chill food and defrost it than the other fridges we tried. This is likely due to the larger capacity.

The doors are another problem with this refrigerator. The handles with a sunken design allow shorter people to open them from the bottom. However taller people have a difficult time closing them without slamming. It would have been much better if they had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good option for those looking to combine the advantages of a French-door refrigerator's aesthetics with a more efficient layout. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model and it cools well and has a nice layout. It's also a little less than the most expensive counter countertop depth refrigerator french door refrigerator with an ice maker, which makes it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire french style fridge freezer plumbed door refrigerator is a good choice if you want a French-door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It has a simple design that's not as striking visually as some of the competition, but it has enough features to make it a good pick. Its main characteristic is the adjustable temperature drawer, which helps keep foods like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. The drawer lets you redirect a portion of the fridge's cooling power to this area, so that you can keep food items that require extra attention. You can alter this feature by using an adjustable slider that is located just on the outside of the drawer. You can also alter the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the generic settings work better than the specific ones.

In my tests, I discovered that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent in different parts of the fridge. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray significantly from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a solid performance, but isn't quite at the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also pair this fridge with an intelligent thermometer to get more precise measurements of your fridge's temperature.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's outside is made of grey-bodied stainless steel that has a "smudge-proof" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've seen.
