The GP Unique

When you drive on a straight and smooth B road, the chassis' dynamic limits are easily extended, but it's difficult to keep the car in line with your inputs. The front end can become a bit snatchy, and the car struggles when under the strain of irregular British bumps.

After you have dialed into the GP Unique, its handling is superb. Its abrasive front end and body control remind us of the JCW race car we tested last year. On a slippery surface, and when you're in a determined mood, it's a real pleasure to drive.

The car's chassis is also different from the standard MT-09 due to the fact that it has a higher torsional rigidity and bigger axles. The new GP has 24.7 degrees of rake, and 108mm of trail, which feels a lot more on the front than the R6's - but it also translates into amazing stability in corners.
