GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete line of medium- and heavy-duty all-electric vehicles, including models with lower and high floors. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which is able to accommodate various body designs and upgrades for a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows for optimal battery pack placement and lower center of gravity, resulting in better payload-to-range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated trucks in class 4 with a single wall structure inside and a higher insulation level than conventional trucks, enable seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer lifespan. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior cargo capacity and a payload that is industry-leading to reach the range of zero-emission freight or passenger transport.

GreenPower has collaborated with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to quickly transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.

We had the chance to test the EV9 for a few hours on a local freeway, and found it easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over bumps and ruts, while the EV9 does a great job of suppressing road noise and wind on the highway. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising quick, and it features adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.

GreenPower produces around 10 EV Star busses a month for Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their older diesel vehicles fleet with 100 electric cars. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demands of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA certified. This means they will be eligible for federal assistance in transit.
