Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and electric power scooters Heavy-Duty Vehicles

Greenpower designs, builds and distributes a complete range of low-floor and high-floor electric heavy-duty and medium-duty vehicles. This includes transit buses as well as school buses, as cargo buses as well as shuttles.

GreenPower Motor Company produces a full suite of high-floor and low-floor all-green power electric scooter medium and heavy-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship vehicle, and it is able to be adapted to suit a variety of applications. The platform's design is based on a clean paper that allows for optimal placement of the battery and a lower center-of-gravity. This results in higher range/payload ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated trucks in class 4 have a single interior wall structure and a higher insulation level than traditional trucks, enable seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer lifespan. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior capacity for cargo and an industry-leading payload to reach the range of zero-emission goods or passenger transportation.

GreenPower has joined forces with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to easily transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able to support wireless charging of 75 kW.

We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on a local highway for several hours and found it to be simple to drive, and comfortable to drive over long distances. The EV9 can be used to block road noise and wind while on the highway. It glides effortlessly over bumps and ruts. The vehicle's acceleration is surprising fast, and it comes with adjustable regenerative brakes that permit "one-pedal driving" simply by releasing the accelerator.

The EV9 has excellent range and can be fully charged in just three hours at home or using any commercial charger. Drivers have the option of choosing between two operating modes that include eco mode and sports mode. The eco mode prioritizes the torque and cruise control while the sport mode increases speed and handling. Both modes are fun to drive, and offer an unforgettable experience for those who have never been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

In addition to the EV9, Electric green power scooters (Infozillon.Com) GreenPower has several other electric vehicles, including a multi-purpose electric mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, transit or micro-transit bus, vanpool, or a paratransit vehicle.

GreenPower produces about 10 EV Star busses a month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their older diesel vehicles fleet with 100 electric vehicles. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demand of the Biden Administration who is planning to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS certified. They are Buy America compliant, and ADA certified. This means they will be eligible for federal assistance in transit. We will be following the AV Star as it goes on its demonstration tour later this year.
