UPVC Replacement Door Handles

Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle is distinct from the lever handles that are used on the majority of doors. Euro Cylinders are available with up to six pins. Internal and external doors require different levels of security.

Choosing the right cylinder is vitally important; this is dependent on how your doors and handles are utilized. For instance, exterior doors must be secured with a higher security cylinder, while doors inside can be secured using an ordinary cylinder. Certain cylinders come with extra features that can improve security, such as anti drill or anti bump properties.

To make sure that the euro cylinder is of the right size for your door, it must be measured accurately. The cylinder should be measured from the hole in the center of the fixing screw to the other end of the cylinder, including the thumb turn if you have one. It is recommended to do this while the lock is in place however if this is not possible, you can take it off to measure. A cylinder that protrudes beyond the handle and escutcheon may be vulnerable to attacks such as snapping locks, so it is important that it's not too long.

The design of many modern cylinders includes anti-drilling and bump resistance features. These features are designed to minimize the chances of an attack by forcing the cylinder to rotate in a different direction. This helps deflect the attack and protect your doors.

Some cylinders are designed to resist snapping. This is a more frequent kind of attack on cylinders, where the break line in the lock is attacked by a tool that is specially designed to snap off the front of the cylinder to allow the door handle repair near me to open. Spring Cassette
