Amazon Cancels iRobot Deals

Amazon has pulled out of the planned acquisition of Roomba maker iRobot. The company said that the deal had to overcome "undue regulatory obstacles." The company will pay iRobot an breakup fee of $94 million.

The acquisition was deemed be anti-competitive by the European Commission (the EU's executive arm, and the top antitrust enforcement agency).
