Some models are hard to attach or remove from the base, however. The Doona Combo, for example, requires a two-step attachment process and straps that slide over the infant carrier's bottom portion. It's tempting to skip these steps however it could result in dangerous outcomes.

Additionally some models are hard to fold away and store making them less practical than other. Graco FastAction 3 in 1 Car Seat Stroller is difficult to fold because of its large dimensions and heavy frames. The model also has a tiny canopy, pram 2 in 1 which some testers find to be disappointing. The Britax Parkway Combo Click and Go is simple to fold down with the push of a button and a pull of the lever. Easy to Fold

It should be easy to unfold and fold the car seat, no matter if you're storing it in your trunk or a closet. The most effective combinations we've tested come with a simple one-handed fold that is compact and durable enough to be used on long strolls. They are also easy to move and glide smoothly over uneven surfaces. Some combos are attached and detached by straps. This may feel like a second step and make it difficult for parents to secure their car seat properly.

Both come with a single front wheel that's simple to push (one-handed! ), as well as a versatile swivel front wheel that's perfect for shopping or running errands. The only downside is that they're quite heavy and may be difficult to lift when carrying a child in car seats.

Easy to Assemble

Some stroller and car seat combos can be difficult to assemble. We found that the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo was one of the easiest to put together. It comes with a handy quick-start guide that makes putting this system together easy. Other models we looked at such as the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule Urban Glide 2, and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal, were also fairly easy to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo, on the other hand is a bit difficult to put together. It requires two steps: attaching the lower anchors and using straps to protect the bottom of the carrier. It's also very heavy, which means it takes two hands to secure the carrier into the base and then remove it from there.

In our tests, it took us about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby v2 together. This is a bit rapid when you consider how much time it saves by not having to remove each piece. The toddler seat can be attached and detached easily on most of these models.
